Prayer for Spiritual Strength
Shay CullenLord give to me your word of power when I need a friend
To hold an outstretched helping hand.
Help me Lord to fight for justice, for human rights to make my stand.
You showed the way by action and taught us to give, ask no return, and share,
You give me courage to speak your word, confront oppressors, to challenge and to dare.
Lord I am your champion to fight injustice and undo the endless wrong,
I live but once to walk this earth, to serve the poor make me truly strong.
Help me find the power to help those
That cry for help, who cannot have a say,
Bring them to your friendship ,give them voice that will be heard every night and day.
Amen.
