Prayer for Murdered Human Rights Workers and Justice Activists
Fr. Shay CullenMurder and death on Philippine soil, true Christians
killed for their faith in justice, love and truths,
they loved, like you, Lord the downtrodden,
and were killed by brutes.They believed and worked for the dignity and rights of all,
They were captured and killed and brought to a deadly fall.
Lord you led the way by your passion and death, by your sacrifice for those oppressed,
May we imitate that love and uplift those crushed and depressed.
With you we never stop to work for justice and truth, and undo the evil at it root.
We walk in your footsteps, on the path of service to the poor,
and in spirit we are one with they who suffer and endure.Amen
