Metamorphosis

Metamorphosis
A yellow butterfly by my side,
comes fluttering from flower-to-flower,
beauty to behold, I see the wonder of the change,
from creepy caterpillar to flying wings,
nature transforms all living things
but not the human kind, I am told.
No magical metamorphosis for the
Tyrant or a cruel regime,
No good can emerge, we cannot live the beautiful dream,
Until together for justice, freedom, truth we strive,
Only then will the caterpillar change and the butterfly of life arrive.
