4 Boys Held for Raping 5-yr-old Girl in Iloilo

ILOILO C ITY — Four boys, aged 10, 8, 7 and 6, were accused of sexually molesting a 5-year-old girl in Baran ‘jay Mansaya in Lapaz district here on Monday.

Three of the boys, two of them brother aged 8 and 7, were brought to the Lapaz police station yesterday for investigation. The other su spect, age 6, was not immediately located.

The girl had pointed to the four boys as the ones who molested her inside an abandoned house in barangay Mansaya.

Barangay captain, Benedicto Jayme of Mansaya said he had confronted the boys who admitted that they thrust a 12-inch bamboo stick into the girl’s sexual organ and made anal intercourse with her.

The boys reportedly told the villa,a ,e chief that the girl -had her, underwear on when they sexually molested her.

Jayme said the girl’s mother brought the case to his attention after noticing blood in her daughter’s underwear and in her urine.

“Based on the findings of a doctor, there was a small laceration outside the girl’s vagina,” Jayme said.

“I will refer these children to he Department of Social Welfare and Development for proper guidance,” he said.

According to Jayme, the boys were playing in an abandoned house in the barangay on Monday afternoon when their companion, age 6, asked them to invite the girl to play house with them.

They told the barangay captain that it was the 6-year-old boy who masterminded the sexual assault on the girl.

Jayme said the boys first brought pillows and a blanket before bringing the girl to the abandoned house to play.
