Bravo Father Shay. Another good and true reflection. It was a wrong move from the Philippines Government to call on the USA for “some kind of assistance”. The US Government will again be very proud that somewhere in the world someone calls for help whatever it means. The very best and efficient way to solve the problems with China and other neighbors is the dialogue, a frank and honest dialogue and not a political talk. Being in this part of the world since 1946 and former veteran of the Indochina war (1946-1948) after one year in Germany, I am an anti-war because they are purely a question of political arrogance and hypocrisy under the motto “FREEDOM OF THE WORLD”. Look at all those wars and I am asking those responsible; Where is our freedom?. Simply, since the end of the second world war in 1945 including the Pacific war, there has been not a single day of peace on the planet Earth. There is always someone somewhere who pull the stings to the effect to indispose the other anywhere. War is not for freedom. War is simply and strictly for making money. Cordially Jean

Shay Cullen, PREDA To: “[email protected]” <[email protected]> China will never back away from PI, China has always taken what they want and they steal and they believe the Philippine People are beneath them, sometimes force is needed and the Philippines don’t have it. God many times raged war and wiped out lives to only prove a point, I don’t want to see the US military back in the Philippines but sometimes things just have to be. The US has helped the Philippines in the past and i do believe China will back away from PI if the US is back. Hopefully it will only be for a short time while the Philippines beef up their military and and get trained by the US forces then China will realize the Philippines will stand up for their land and know the US will back them in the future.
