EDMONDS CASE CHRONOLOGY
29 January 1998 - Gloria Roxanne Edmonds was admitted in the PREDA Center upon referral of the DSWD and NBI.
31 January 1998 - Gloria was formally admitted to the PREDA Center after her father, Alan Dale Edmonds, signed the kasunduan. On the same day, Mr. Edmonds was interviewed by Fr. Shay on tape in the presence of a PREDA Staffer. Mrs. Purisima Payumo, Ronald's mother, signed a kasunduan, placing Ronald in the protective custody of PREDA.
2 February 1998 - Ronald was interviewed by Fr. Shay and a PREDA staffer.
3 February 1998 - Ronald subscribed his two affidavits before Prosecutor Floresta,
1. admitting that he abused Gloria and 2. that his sister Rosalie and Alan Edmonds has an intimate relationship. Rosalie was interviewed on tape by Fr. Shay and a PREDA Staffer. A PREDA Staffer got Gloria's medico - legal from the San Marcelino District Hospital dated October 17, 1997, 4 1/2 months after it was taken. Gloria was interviewed on video by PREDA staffers.
23 February 1998 - Alan Dale Edmonds filed a habeas corpus case against Fr. Shay before the court of Judge Ubiadas.
26 February 1998 - Judge Ubiadas ordered the transfer of Gloria to the Lingap Center, Olongapo City.
4 March 1998 - A second medico-legal was done on Gloria Edmonds when she was in the Lingap Center, for 6 days.
5 March 1998 - Harry Joost and Alan Edmonds filed deportation charges against Fr. Shay Cullen.
6 March 1998 - Edmonds and Mrs. Payumo filed Grave Oral Defamation complaints against Fr. Shay Cullen.
20 March 1998 - Edmonds and Mrs. Payumo filed several complaints against Fr. Shay Cullen :
- Grave Slander filed by Edmonds
- Grave Slander filed by Mrs. Payumo
- Psychological Abuse filed against Fr. Shay and Prosecutor Floresta by Mrs. Payumo on behalf of Ronald Payumo
1 April 1998 - Edmonds filed kidnapping complaints against Fr. Shay Cullen
15 April 1998 - Judge Santos dismissed the habeas corpus case against Fr. Shay Cullen.
27 April 1998 - Prosecutor Bernardo of the Provincial Prosecutor's Office - Bataan, dismissed the grave slander ( 2 counts ) against Fr. Shay and the Psychological Abuse against Fr. Shay and Prosecutor Floresta for lack of substantiation.
28 April 1998 - Edmonds filed a child abuse complaint against Fr. Shay
5 May 1998 - Edmonds filed 3 complaints against DSWD Region III Director Flor Villar, Lina Apostol of Lingap Center Olongapo City and Mila Fronda, Zambales Social Worker.
20 May 1998 - Judge Ubiadas ordered the return of Gloria Edmonds to Edmonds.
27 May 1998 - Prosecutor Lasam of the Provincial Prosecutor's Office dismissed the case filed by the NBI/ DSWD Lingap Center for Gloria Edmonds against Oliver Edmonds and Ronald Payumo because she did not appear during the preliminary investigation. She was in the custody of Edmonds and Mrs. Payumo.
4 June 1998 - The child abuse complaint filed by Alan Edmonds was dismissed by Prosecutor Lasam.
8 July 1998 - The kidnapping complaints filed by Edmonds was dismissed by Prosecutor Lumabas and he even commented in his resolution that this complaint was pure harassment.
19 August 1998 - PREDA sent a letter to VP Gloria Macapagal Arroyo to intervene in this case.
20 August 1998 - We received a reply that they would study the case.
24 August 1998 - Joost and Edmonds file further complaints at the Bureau of Immigration and Deportation against Fr. Shay Cullen. Enclosed in this is Gloria Edmonds English affidavit alleging that she was abused by Fr. Shay while in the PREDA Center.
9 September 1998 - Edmonds filed libel complaints against Fr. Shay Cullen.
27 October 1998 - Gloria Edmonds submitted to the Prosecutor's Office of Olongapo City another affidavit, this time in Tagalog stating that she was abused by Fr. Shay. This affidavit is totally different from the English one.
23 November 1998 - Prosecutor Recitis dismissed the libel charges against Fr. Shay Cullen.
7 December 1998 - Edmonds filed another libel charge against Fr. Shay
17 December 1998 - Fr. Shay filed his counter affidavit to the libel charges
22 December 1998 - Joost and Edmonds filed separate charges for libel and perjury against Fr. Shay Cullen.
