AFFIDAVIT
I, DEOGRACIAS IÑIGUEZ, of age, single, Filipino and with address in Iba, Zambales under oath hereby depose and say:
- That I am a Roman Catholic Bishop of the Diocese of Iba, with jurisdiction in the whole province of Zambales and Olongapo City;
- That I know that PREDA Foundation, Inc., to which Fr. Shay Cullen is connected had a role in filing of cases of child abuse against Victor Fitzgerald and that the latter was convicted y court and a decision in the Court of Appeals was made against him;
- That I received information from persons involved in one way or another with the said case that PREDA /or Fr. Cullen might have exceeded bounds in influencing the children in their pursuit against pedophiles;
- that I have been open to listening to persons expressing views and conviction about the innocence of Victor Fitzgerald;
- That I was able to talk to two of the girls and few women like the Limpats and Dionidos, who were involved in the case against Fitzgerald and who are convinced that Fitzgerald was innocent;
- That because of these information, I thought that verifications and even a nee trial if feasible might put Fitzgerald in another light;
- That I feel the pronouncement of guilt against Fitzgerald was not one beyond reasonable doubt;
- That I believe that additional introduction of testimonies and documentary evidences may alter the consideration of the case against Fitzgerald and that I feel justice demands a new trial.
