When this case was called, Fiscal Oliver S. Garcia represented the prosecution.

Accused Michael Guevarra y Garcia appeared without a counsel and moved that a counsel de oficio be appointed to assist him. Thereafter, Atty. Eleazar S. Garcia was appointed as counsel de oficio be appointed to assist him. Thereafter, Atty. Eleazar S. Garcia was appointed as counsel de officio for the accused.

Accused, with the assistance of counsel de officio was arraigned in the manner provided by law by reading to him the Information translated in a language known and spoken by him who when asked whether he pleads guilty as charge or not, interposed a plea of not guilty.

Let the pre-trial conference of this case be set on May 21, 2002 at 8:30 o'clock in the morning.

The public prosecutor, the accused and the defense counsel are notified of this setting in open Court.
