Resolution Concerning Church
Series of 2000
Whereas, AKBAY (Aksyon ng Kabataan at mga Bata para sa Bayan) Children and Youth Organization of Zambales-Olongapo based in PREDA;
Whereas, AKBAY fully believes that spiritual nourishment is a right that should be enjoyed by the children and youth of Zambales-Olongapo;
Whereas, Spiritual motivation is vital for the true moral formation of every child and youth;
Whereas, AKBAY fully commits itself to spiritual values and spiritual fellowship for the benefit of the children and youth;
THEREFORE, the AKBAY members, in its willingness to promote and uplift the spiritual foundation hereby recommend the following:
1.) Conducting seminars and other activities in motivating young people to participate in spiritual activity and other outreach programs by the help of the pastors, priests, and other church officials. In this way, young people will be enlightened in their path.
2.) Advocacy of the church clergy must increase to encourage more children and youth to devote themselves to spiritual values and they may be guided by this advocacy, particularly in Zambales-Olongapo.
3.) All religious sectors must have solidarity and oneness and avoid the "barriers of indifference", should acknowledge that they must be a good model to give the structure of the society, thus, the more isolation of any religious sector that destroys the bonding of each person in society because of clash beliefs.
4.) As a believer, one must promote respect and understanding to each belief, this view can lead to the solidarity and unity of the people of Zambales-Olongapo.
NOW THEREFORE, the Children and Youth of Zambales-Olongapo who are members of the organization AKBAY stands firm and believe that the above-mentioned petition should be given full respect by those who are in the leadership position of the Churches and Sectors.
