The Preda-Akbay musical drama was received with standing ovations and wide media coverage. It tells the story of how destructive mining in the Philippines impoverishes villagers and makes them vulnerable to begin trafficked into the international sex industry in the Philippines and work to free them abroad. It also highlights the suffering of children in prison and how good people work with Preda to free them from slavery. The group went to Ireland on the 24th and preformed in Sligo, Longford and Graystones parish Church 2 June 8.PM. Fr. Shay gives a keynote speech at the church on Monday 29 may during justice and peace week. |
