Miss Claire Clementir of the CASA-GAL Foundation of the Philippines, discussed relevant laws for sexually abused children and children in conflict with the law.

Linda Cruz, a social worker assigned to the Regional Trial Court Branch 48 under Judge Vilchez, discussed the challenges that confront court social workers. If appointed by the court, CASA-GAL volunteers will have to work in coordination with the social workers.

Jason Estonanto, a social worker of the International Justice Mission, receives his certificate from Fr. Shay after completing the two-day training. He and the other participants will then undergo field training and exposure before being nominated to and appointed by the court to handle cases involving children.
