Irish Sports Stars Support the Preda Children's Home

The big football tournament in Poland is close and Irish players have joined the Preda campaign for children’s rights and have made a unique, one of a kind signed guitar played and signed by Damien Dempsey. Thousands of Preda supporters are also supporters of the Irish team and all wish the best of luck to Shane Long and all the Irish squad on the “Rocky Road to Poland”!
We would like to wish all the best to long standing PREDA supporter, Republic of Ireland striker Shane Long. PREDA has also enjoyed the support of fellow Irish players, Kevin Doyle, Stephen Hunt, Greg Cunningham and as you can see from the photo goalkeeping legend Shay Given and striker Jonathan Walters are helping raise the profile of the work we do for the children we rescue.
No doubt there will be tough matches ahead against Croatia, Spain and Italy but we will be with you all the way!
Thanks to Shane he organised the signing of a new Gibson Epiphone guitar by 21 of the Irish squad who played against the Czech Republic in a friendly on the 29th of February 2012 – the game finished 1-1.
The unique guitar which is also signed by PREDA supporter Damien Dempsey, who signs “The Rocky Road to Poland” and by Today FM dj Ray D’Arcy who helped coordinate the writing of the song with his listeners. All the proceeds will go directly to the children rescued by PREDA as the costs are being sponsored by Trevor Jennings of online sports book company www.sportsbooks.ie
