Filipino-American Children Assistance

Social workers at PREDA organized an association of 720 mothers of Filipino-American children. They provided the mothers with confidence and self-esteem building workshops and gave family research assistance.

Fil-Am March for Justice

PREDA then pursued a Class Action suit the in US Court of Complaints on behalf of the children in 1993, visited and lobbied the US Congress and State Department.

These efforts, with the help of Church Groups in Washington DC, were instrumental in advancing a US Congressional Resolution assigning $650,000 for the Fil-AM children through US AID.
