Street children in Davao city who joined father Shay Cullen and human rights activists protesting the shooting of street children by a death squad in the city.  The victims of the brutal murders were the friends and companions of these children who Fr. Cullen helped by leading an international protest over the Internet to protest and stop the killings.  The children in this photo are mourning the deaths of their friends.
Working children:  One of the worst forms of child labor is scavenging in the rubbish dumps.  These children will contract multiple diseases from the toxic waste and dirt of decaying food and animals on the garbage dump.  Many these children likely perished in the avalanche that killed hundreds.
