The leading suspect in the rape of a 13 year-old child in India was arrested a day after a strong letter to the senior police inspector was sent by the Preda Foundation demanding action and justice. The response by the police inspector was swift and the suspect was arrested. Here is the advocacy letter sent. It’s likely that Inspector was responding to the urgent appeal for justice for the victim.

Dear Inspector General Shri Satyabrata Bhoi,

The reports seen on social media worldwide and in the Press of a most heinous crime against a small 13 years old girl child who was allegedly raped and abused last March 2020 in a police station by the inspector and three policemen. She was also allegedly raped by her stepfather.

The child is reported to have been pregnant and given a forced abortion in Bergampur, Sundarkar, Orisa this June 2020 in your area of command.

The spread of child rape in India as if it were a common pastime is the most shocking and terrible crime committed by human. Animals do not rape their own offspring, only the human species does it.

Humans with supposedly intelligence, reasonable and knowledge of right and wrong chose to follow there based desires and choose freely to do this heinous crime for their personal pleasure and satisfaction. The child for them is just a “thing” to abuse and considered by them not even human.

Implore you to act so justice is done.

Please bring the suspects to true justice and see that the child is given support protection and therapy to overcome her horrible ordeal and suffering that will last a lifetime.

You Sir are the hope of many, the one person that can make justice happen so that the culprits are brought to justice and given a long prison sentence so that no more children will be raped by the suspects.
