British national charged with illegal detention of five children

Criminal charges of Serious Illegal Detention of five children 6 months to 7 year old and Direct Assault on a government officials were filed today in Branch 73, Family Court Olongapo City against Lilian May Thomson, 65, a British citizen from Dunfermline, Scotland born on May 21, 1949
The alleged illegal detention of the children was reported to the DSWD and to the Police by Preda Social workers first week of June and continued to request help to rescue the children until help came on 3 July.
The DSWD social workers led my Rosemarie Hebron and Christopher Galco and the National Bureau of Investigation officers Paulo Calip, and Clenio B. Calleja went to the house of Thomson with the Barangay captain and asked the children be turned over. Thomson refused and became agitated, angry and used invectives against the officers. She then allegedly picked up a spear and threw it at the social workers grazing the arm of Ms. Hebron.
Thomson was immediately apprehended and handcuffed and the officers were the house. They found the 5 children locked in a room. One was tied by her arms to a chair with plastic cuffs. They release the children and brought to the Hospital in Olongapo City. They had a checkup and three of the children 7 years old were found to have been sexually abused. They were taken into care by a child caring home.
Thomson was found to have a British passport without as visa but also an American passport number. The accused is presently detained at the police station 146 Barrio Barretto, Olongapo after the charges were filed in court.
