HOPE invites Preda to the Stop Child Abuse Now campaign launching

Preda as a known institution that fights and protects children's rights has been invited to attend the national launching of SCAN(Stop Child Abuse Now)campaign on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2006 at the Quezon City Memorial Circle.
HOPE worldwide Philippines as the organizing body of the movement believed this will be the start of what is to become its yearly empowerment campaign to train 1 million children on personal safety against child abuse.
The campaign launching will simultaneously take place in 8 major areas in the NCR, and 17 other provinces and will surely be attended by thousands of volunteers, child protection advocates, professionals, parents, and children that will come together for a united cause. This calls for a movement that will launch an all out war against child abuse tagged to be a ´silent epidemicˇ that is destroying both the future of children and the nation.
Father Shay Cullen, the founder and executive director of Preda Foundation will be in solidarity with the said event and will be elaborating on his keynote speech the world wide extent of child exploitation and abuse and the preventive measures which everyone could be part of.
The Preda-Akbay Youth Theater is
expected to perform also an excerpt from heir internationally acclaimed
play ˇ Once We Had a Dreamˇ that will greatly explain the terrible
situation of children victims of abuse in a very dramatic way. end.
