SUBJECT : investigation report re-shooting to death of Edwin S. Carillo and Roy Pahelan last 061750H July 1999 along Illustre St., Davao City.

I. AUTHORITY:

II. MATTERS INVESTIGATED:
Shooting to death of Edwin Carillo and Roy Pahelan on or about 061750H July 1999 and the circumstances surrounding the incident,
III. FACTS OF THE CASE:
On or about 06175011 July 1999 Vulture base informed this Precinct
thru radio that shooting incident transpired at Illustre St., this City.
Immediately Mobile Heron Alpha manned by SP04 Jimena, SPO1 de Rama and SCAA
Castro were dispatched to the crime scene to conduct spot, ocular and initial
investigation.
IV. DISCUSSION:
The shot victims were identified only through their Aliases as Alias Mamay who sustained gunshot wound on his forehead and Alias Dodong who sustained two gunshot wounds on the head resulting to their instantaneous death. Investigation conducted revealed that while the victims were standing at the ground floor of former Galaxy Theater located at Illustre St., a lone unidentified gunman without any warning shot the victims with the used of a caliber .45 pistol as evidenced by three shells of caliber .45 found and recovered at the crime scene.
Follow-up investigation later identified the victims as Edwin S. Carillo Alias Mamay, 19 years old, born on November 30, 1980, a resident of' Pag-asa, Bankerohan, Davao City and Roy Pahelan Alias Dodong, 18 years old, born on November 5, 1981 also resident of Pag-asa, Bankerohan Barangay 5-A, Davao City.
Accordingly, this is a thick cloud of rumors that the duo are engaged in the illegal trade of prohibited drugs and other illegal activities however, this is yet to be determined with concrete proof. There are probably several motives for their assassination, one of which might be competition or non remittances of collection or other reasons which is yet to be determined.
V. CONCLUSION:
As this instant case is still without solution and treated as an open case, the command of the undersigned is still collating bits and pieces of information to eventually solve the case and bring the suspect to the bar of justice.
VI. RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that all available operating units, section of Command to share whatever information that they might have filtered for evaluation which might probably and eventually solved this case.
