In the United States the NGO Better A Millstone,an organization founded by child defender mike Echols and his team of dedicated cyber sleuths have brought moral pressure and persuasion on the operators of server companies who were hosting child pornography sites.
Their combined efforts in the past were sucessful by persuading advertising companies to withdraw their advertisements on those servers hosting child pornography.It worked . They have also suuceeded in persuading IPs Covesoft.com of Annapolis (Maryland), Cybercon.com of St. Louis (Missouri), Digital Technologies of Wichita (Kansas), Genesis II Networks of Charlotte (North Carolina), and Yostman.com of Toronto (Ontario, Canada) to terminate their hosting of child pornography and to be aggressively proactive in not taking on any future child porn domains.
