operating system and applications that are all free.
How many of us have never had
a virus attack? Hardly any, some have survived but Carol was badly hit. Here
at PREDA we have reviewed all of this and have come to realize that the
virus attackers have various motives for sending out these viruses. They
want to get free E-mail address and then send commercial offers, the most
insidious are those out to wreck damage on the foe the multinational
MICROSOFT.
MICROSOFT indeed the anti-fair
trade company if there is one. If you buy a book and share it with others it
not a international crime of piracy, but buy MICROSOFT operating system and
office and you can only use it for one computer, every other computer user
has to buy it's own at high prices.
The computer has to have a
whole lot of in built commands programmed into it's hard disk memory. These
commands when you give the start command by turning on the computer the
command start up the system and make it ready to do our bidding. This called
the operating system no computer can do anything without this series of
built in commands for MICROSOFT it is called windows operating system, the
other well known operating system is called APPLE, IBM has an OS of it's
own, not very successful or well known. But Microsoft rules the roost and
controls most of the worlds computers. That is because of the head start in
marketing they had with their old system called DOS.
Hackers and software writers and programmers love to attack the
MICROSOFT system, to show it's inherent instability, it's flaws and
weaknesses and to prove that they are smarter than Bill gates.
Windows is built on top of a
foundation of the old Microsoft operating system known as DOS. This is a
antiquated and cumbersome system and in the old days before user friendly
systems were invented by Xerox corporation, developed by Apple and copied by
Microsoft, we had to know a dozen commands before anything significant would
happen to our computer. That has all changed to icons and clicks of the
mouse. Yet MICROSOFT still had to build its windows on top of the old DOS
and that is its weakness and inherent flaw. It hangs, crashes, gets mixed up
and is wide open to virus attacks.60, 000 viruses are out there trying to
attack the MICROSOFT system. A huge anti-virus industry has sprung up just
to deal with this. Most viruses only attack MICROSOFT windows but few are
written against Apple Mac and LINUX. More on that later... How do we know
that some naughty anti-virus is writing them and releasing them so that it
can sell the solution? A terrible thought but in this world of terrorism and
crime anything is possible.
We are the collateral damage,
the victims of this battle of wits, the remnants of revenge. True MICROSOFT
is a monopoly controlling almost 90% of the world computers. The
multinational companies make so much money that it has an insatiable
appetite for more. Many state governments in the US are suing it because it
acts as a monopoly. It changes the software every few years and the older
versions that we use are made obsolete, the newer versions will not
recognize the old software so we have to buy the new versions of office,
word etc. Otherwise we cannot open attachments, read files coming from the
latest version of MICROSOFT windows.
WE ARE THE VICTIMS OF
UNFAIR MONOPOLY MICROSOFT
So it seems there is no option
we have to live with this situation. Now Microsoft has intensified its
international pressure on government many also using copies versions of
windows and office) to crack down on others using copies versions and make
them buy new packages for each and every computer. The costs are huge.
IT IS A CRIME TO USE
COPIED SOFTWARE
Last week the Head of the
Philippine National Bureau of Investigation ran a big advertisement in the
national newspaper that make Bill Gates happy. He was warning everybody in
the Philippines with copied and shared software to beware that they will be
arrested and jailed if caught. If you have some rival or critic and they
think you might be using coped software they will easily report you and then
you are in hot water. We are becoming more vulnerable. Bill Gates is perhaps
recruiting police agencies to do his bidding. Many under-funded struggling
fair trade companies in the developing world perhaps use copied software and
really do not consider it a crime. Having to buy one set for each computer
would break them. What can they do/ is there an alternative, yes and i will
tell you about it below. We have to credit Bill for his generous use of his
profits for the humanitarian charity he does through his foundation to
battle disease and especially THE HIV-AIDS virus in Africa.
LINUX TO THE RESCUE, FREE OS AND APPLICATIONS
Microsoft is not a fair trade
company, it is perhaps much the opposite, not because it exploiters it's own
workers and producers but because it exploits its customers and the users of
its products in a hard manner. Because of this, the freedom loving software
programmes of the world wanted to break free of this dominating force of
Microsoft.One of them Janus LINUX, a young man of genius from Finland (now
living in California) wrote a computer software operating system that is not
only a rival to Microsoft windows but is much superior to it, more stable,
seldom hangs, crashes or is it hardly ever attacked by virus it impossible
for a virus written for windows to get pat the fire wall protection of
LINUX. a virus for windows cannot get into LINUX. LINUX operating system and
user friendly and above all it is FREE of charge. The server industry, those
who send and retrieve the E-mail for us, 27 % of these companies use LINUX
server software around the world use LINUX system at no cost.
Yes Janus have given away the
code that enables anyone to change, improve and write new software
programmes for this operating system.
it is spreading around the
glob faster than many has originally estimated. most of Germany is has now
turned away form MICROSOFT windows and is using LINUX. This is just similar
to windows operating to the apple operating system and it is free and
available on the Internet. there you can go to a web site and down load the
whole operating system however small companies eager to spread the rival of
MICROSOFT to the world make it easy and cheap to get it on a CD, Red Hat is
one of these companies has been set up to distribute the whole system and
the office application software that goes with it. There is just a small one
time charge making it easy to get it rather than staying on the Internet for
many hours to download it.
Here at PREDA this is our
solution we care changing to LINUX. it can read and work with Microsoft
applications and files and all PC software so you lose nothing of your files
or capability. You can copy it and share it with others and it costs nothing
and it is legal.
So search the Internet for Red
Hat or LINUX and you will be very happy to see something good out there that
we can all use and be free of the tyranny of the Microsoft monster that has
