Gangsters Nabbed in Olongapo Drug Raid

OLONGAPO City - A gang leader and two of his men were nabbed by operatives of the Olongapo City Police Office Drug Enforcement Group (DEG) during a drug raid at Barangay New Ilalim here.

According to Supt. Orlando Madela, Jr., OCPD Director the suspects were identified as Lius Bernal, leader of the Bernal group, residing at No. 7-A, Macaraeg st., Albert Arce , 31, of No. 106 Esteban St., and Danilo Mallari, of 6-14th St., all from Barangay New Ilalim.

Led by Senior Insp. Jose bernal, police operatives raided Bernal's house by virtue of a search warrant issued by Judge Eleodoro Ubiadas, Regional Trial Court, Branch 72.

Reports added that the suspects resisted and even assaulted the raiding team in a bid to escape but the lawmen manage to arrest the suspect.

Police authorities seized two plastic sachets of suspected shabu, an aluminum foil with suspected marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia.

the suspects are now facing charges of violation of the Dangerous Drug Act.
