Success Measured by Retaliation?

IN THE PHILIPPINES PREDA foundation has been awarded A German and Italian
Human Rights award for the years 2000 and 2001 respectively and Fr. Shay Cullen
has been nominated for a Nobel peace Prize for the unrelenting action against
sex tourism and the abuse of children. The work has succeed in convicting sex
tourists local and foreign and a notorious sex
tour operator and cracking open the Norwegian syndicate trafficking Filipino
children to Oslo for sexual exploitation.
Retaliation by sex tourists.
If success is to be measured by retaliation PREDA has paid the price. The backlash from the sex tourists and their supporters in Olongapo and Angeles cities in the Philippines has brought down 61 legal complaints against PREDA Staff and it's founder in the past two and half years. Fifty-three of the cases have so far been proven to be baseless and false and dismissed. The rest are being contested in the judicial system by PREDA .
Libel case withdrawn.
The most recent success has been the withdrawal of libel charges against Fr.
Shay Cullen and PREDA staffers because of a internet campaign to stop the
killing of street youth and children in Davao City, southern Philippines. The
city mayor filed the case because he believed that he was being blamed for the
killings. They have since stopped but no killers have
been brought to justice.
