Freedom for Father Shay Cullen, Preda, Olongapo City
Dear Mr. President,
We, as a German Fair Trade Company, would kindly request you to most urgently take all neccessary steps that Father Shay Cullen, Preda, could continue his important work against child prostitution and does not need to fear being arrested by the Philippine authorities due to false accusations. We fully trust in Father Shay Cullen and the Preda-team in Olongapo and would kindly ask you to support Father Shay Cullen in every possible way.
The gepa Fair Trade Company is in cooperation with the Preda Foundation in Olongapo since 1982. We support this organisation by selling handicraft items and food of small scale producers in Germany. Due to this long cooperation, the head of the foundation, Father Shay Cullen and the team is very well known to us.
We as gepa can not understand the decision of the Secretary of Justice who rejected an appeal for a review of the decision sending the case against Father Shay Cullen to court again. Father Shay Cullen is accused of child rape by a person who is involved in the child prostitution business himself and, therefore, not a reliable accusation in our opinion.
With kind regards,
Thomas Speck
