Dear Secretary Tuquero,
I wish to join the Missionary Society of Saint Columban in the Philippines in expressing concern about the case of rape being raised against Father Shay Cullen and the warrant of arrest that has been issued as a consequence.
Fr. Cullen is a priest in good standing who has been helpful in the rehabilitation of abused children and youth. His commitment to the welfare of children has been a source of immense inspiration and edification for so many in the Catholic Church. it is very sad and unfortunate that such a charge is being leveled against him. I know he will be proven innocent in time. I plead with you not to allow this harassment to continue. There is so much work to be done on behalf of abused children.
I am praying for the speedy resolution of this case.
I invoke God's blessings upon you and the work that you do for the nation.
