Dear Secretary Tuquero:
Childhope Asia-Philippines expresses support for Father Shay Cullen of PREDA Foundation as he faces unmistakably false charges filed against him.
These charges are definitely mere orchestrations of his worst enemies in the “pedophile industry”. Fr. Cullen’s predicament, we believe, only bespeaks of his unmitigated zeal to fight on behalf of abused children and youth. The work of this Weimar City, Germany Human Rights awardee and Nobel Peace Prize nominee stands as a proof and testimony of his real character, far different from what these charges project about him.
In this light, Childhope Asia-Philippines wishes to appeal for the speedy and just review of the new evidence that Fr. Cullen has submitted, and for the dismissal of the false charges. We also request for a just evaluation of the Edmonds case for the rehabilitation of the two boys initially and consistently identified by the girl child victim as her perpetrators, prior to the case filed against Fr. Cullen. Lastly, we urge the government to provide appropriate interventions and protection to the girl child victim.
We have total trust in your integrity and are confident that you will give this case the same regard for justice and integrity as you have exemplified over the years.
