Dear Sir,
We are a dried fruit exporting company based in Cebu and we are in partnership with the Preda Foundation of Olongapo City under it's founder and director Father Shay Cullen. Preda is engaged in many development projects that uphft the economic condition of thousands of poor Filipinos all over the Philippines.
We know Fr. Cullen for many years and it is unthinkable that Fr. Shay Cullen should be charged with child abuse when he has fought this evil all his life and is known worldwide for his campaign and being awarded Nobel Peace Prize nonnnation and other famous awards by Human Rights group in Germany and Italy.
These charges are obviously a frame up and a counter charge by those very people who are operating the night club industry that exploit women and children against whom Fr. Shay and his staffers are fighting for the sake of us Filipinos. Father Shay has been a partner of the Department of Justice for many years helping to bring abusers and paedophile to justice.
Besides providing many social services for the exploited women and children, he has instituted many development projects to uphft the poor. Through the Preda Foundation, he provides handicraft training, product development and export markets for many craft exporters in Cebu and elsewhere.
Fr. Shay Cullen with his numerous contacts and reputation throughout Europe and the United States in the Fair Trade movement has helped us greatly expand our exports and penetrate the dried fruit European market. Many thousands of customers in the United States and Europe know the work of Fr. Cullen and Preda through the information printed on every bag of dried fruit sold in retail market.
It is shocking that there should be an arrest warrant for Father Shay based on weak and fabricated evidence. We in the Philippines should be granting him an award rather than an arrest warrant.
Honorable Secretary, Please review all the evidence that clearly shows that two teenage boys abused the child and one already confessed. The victim has always accused the two boys never Fr. Shay. It is only when the parents of the two boys got her out of the DSWD and into their power was she coerced to change her testimony and blame Fr. Shay.
It is clearly a set up by the guilty that you must uncover.
The original and the new evidence, as we set it, shows who really is responsible
for this act of abuse and that Fr. Shay is blameless. We know and trust that you
as a man of integrity who loves what is right and true and will act for justice
and exonerate Fr. Shay Cullen.
