Dear Secretary,
I am writing to you to draw attention to the ongoing harassment of Fr. Shay Cullen and the Preda Foundation. You are familiar with their great work and you have the reputation of a fair and compassionate human being.
The abuse and rape of children is a world problem. The problem can be exaggerated by poverty. Fortunately, there are good and decent people who are prepared to stand up for the children. The people of the Preda Foundation stand up to those powerful people who would get rich on the suffering and pain of young children.
Ireland and the Philippines have along history of cooperation and friendship. As I write, nurses from your country are filing position in hospitals here and, as always, impressing people with their cheerfulness, caring and love. It is a shame that the international sex rings use a country of such talents for their evil practices.
Fr. Shay and his colleagues have long been the victims of harassment and threats. Presently, another set of charges has been brought against them, on the most importable of evidence. Once again, this serves only to distract them from their work and allows more innocent children to be exploited and degraded. As a parent, i weep for the suffering children. I implore you to expedite a speedy review of the charges brought against the Preda Foundation so that they may concentrate on their mission of empowerment and education.
