An Ally in Fighting Child Abuse

WE were deeply concerned when we read that the Department of Justice has ordered the filing of a rape charge against Fr. Shay Cullen of the PREDA Foundation. We are members of ECPAT (the international network End Child Prostitution, Pornography and Trafficking of Children for Sexual Purposes) Germany and we have known Father Shay for years as an honest and reliable ally in the fight against child prostitution and child abuse. For his work he will be awarded this year's German Human Rights Award by the City of Weimar.
We are confident that the rape charges will turn out to be unfounded as the Commission of Human Rights in Region 3 earlier ruled. Our confidence is based on the fact that various charges against Preda in the past two years made by interested groups have ben dismissed as baseless and mere acts of harassment.
